Eleanor D. MacMillan, 88, passed away July 30, 2014 in Cheyenne.
She was born March 7, 1926 in Beotia, Spink County, South Dakota to Roy Earl and Lula Belle (Murray) Dittus. She moved to Cheyenne over 50 years ago from Casper. She volunteered at the Arts Council, the Depot and Old West Museums, and the Old Governor’s Mansion. She enjoyed attending plays and concerts, and loved to read.
She is survived by her daughters Barbara Schmaltz and Pat Pollard (Larry) and her grandchildren Geronimo Hidalgo (Amalie), Mary Combs (Brian), Sharon Beach, and Patricia Schmaltz.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, John Murray Dittus and Warren Dittus.
Life Commemoration Services will occur Tuesday, 10:00 a.m., at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Ron Powers officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to a charity of choice.
