Elaine Georgena Hunnel

Elaine Georgena Hunnel, 82, of Cheyenne, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 15, 1938, in Auburn, Nebraska to Erhard and Alberta (Stutheit) Oestman.
Elaine graduated from Auburn High Scholl in 1955. And in 1957 she married the love of her life Darold Delbert Hunnel, they had three children.
She was the Chief of Administrative Services and was awarded the Bronze Medal Award for Superior Federal Services, which she was very proud of. She had many loves in her life besides her work, her children and grandchildren, gardening, mowing her beautiful yard and her baking skills. She made the BEST cinnamon rolls and coffee cake.
Elaine is survived by her daughter, Linda; sons, Gene and James; grandchildren, Zachary, Orin, Chase; sister, Marjorie; niece, Michelle; nephew, Matt and many friends and family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Erhard and Alberta; husband, Darold.
