Edwin Lind, 93, of Cheyenne, died on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
Edwin was born on January 3, 1924 in Windsor, Colorado to Henry and Anna (Stoll) Lind, the second of four children. He lived in Windsor until 1932, then moved to Torrington where he graduated from high school. He then moved to Greeley, Colorado to work for his Uncle Pete Stoll in his fruit and vegetable market. He was offered a job in Cheyenne to work for O.P. Skaggs and retired from Safeway, making the grocery business his career.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and served as an usher for many years. After retiring, he enjoyed raising raspberry plants and selling them at the Farmer’s Market. His nickname was the “Raspberry Man”.
Edwin is survived by his children, David Lind (Kathy), Janet Tolman (Bret), Mary Weinstein (Jeff), and Debra Nordin; fourteen grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Sarah; siblings Edna Day, Irma and Raymond Lind. Services will be Saturday, 9:00 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church.
Interment will follow in Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
