Edward A. Zeimens, 68, of Laramie, died Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
He was born April 13, 1947 in Tilden, Nebraska, a son to Matt and Beryl (Sharp) Zeimens. Ed attended schools in Cheyenne and Torrington, Wyoming before graduating from Stuart high school, Stuart, Nebraska.
He joined the United States Navy serving his country from 1966 until 1970. He moved to Laramie in the early 1970’s where he was employed in the maintenance division with the University of Wyoming.
Ed was a lifetime member of the VFW Post #2221, the American Legion Post #6 and the Disabled American Veterans. He also enjoyed playing cribbage.
Survivors include a brother, George Zeimens, of Torrington; two nephews, Matt Zeimens of Cheyenne; Burt Zeimens of Phoenix, AZ; two nieces, Tammy Henry of Magna, Utah; Cathy Zeimens of Cheyenne; two great nephews, Jonah Zeimens of Cheyenne; Xavier Henry of SLC, Utah; and a great great niece, Bobbi Henry of SLC, Utah.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Jim Zeimens and an infant sister.
Arrangements are under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel. Memorial services will be held at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, October 31, 2015 at VFW Post #2221 in Laramie, Wyoming.
