Edward Stortz passed away October 10, 2020 at Davis Hospice in Cheyenne. Edward was born on June 22, 1949 in Decorah, Iowa, the son of Allen Clement and Dorothy Ann (Lynch) Stortz. Edward lived in Sioux City, Iowa, and La Crosse, Wisconsin for many years before moving to northern Colorado and Cheyenne, Wyoming later in life. As an avid cyclist, lifelong learner, and student of history, Edward earned a Liberal Arts degree from Viterbo University, in La Crosse, Wisconsin, and later earned a master’s degree in business.
Edward was preceded in death by his father Allan in 1990, his mother Dorothy in 1997, and his brother David in 2017.
Edward is survived by his wife Nancy Stortz; sister Alana (Dan) Harbeck of Idaho Springs, Colorado; his children Rachel Stortz and Jamin (Sharon) Stortz; his grandchildren Grant, Olivia and Henry Stortz; his niece Brenna Harbeck; his nephew Tim (Kirsten) Harbeck; his great nieces Taryn, Olivia, Halie, Regan and Ava Harbeck.
Edward was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and was loved dearly by his congregation. He will be greatly missed.
