E. Irene McNamara, 92, of Cheyenne, died on Monday, August 21, 2017 in Cheyenne.
She was born on May 6, 1925 in Ottumwa, Iowa and had lived here since 1960.
Irene was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, the American Legion Auxiliary, was a volunteer at the Wyoming State Museum, and delighted in reading, gardening, camping and fishing.
She is survived by her children, Catherine Mellott (Walter), Genevieve Telander (Russ), Sean McNamara (Diana), Sally Rojas (Alfonso), Laurasue Palmer (Mack), Georgene McNamara-Roberts (Mark), all of Cheyenne, and Theresa McNamara-Murdoch (Kirby) of Carpenter and Jennifer Dillinger (Scott) of Cheyenne; a sister, Suzanne Hoskins of Colorado; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph McNamara, whom she married April 14,1947; her parents, Ruth and Clifford Hallberg; and a brother, Phil Hallberg.
Services will be Tuesday, 2:00 p.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
Interment will be in Cheyenne Memorial Gardens with a reception following at the American Legion.
