Dull Edward Meredith, 88, of Cheyenne, died Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Cheyenne Health Care.
He was born February 13, 1928 in Opp, Alabama, a son of Columbus Matthew and Ella (Edenfield) Meredith. Ed was raised in Florida and attended schools there before joining the United States Army. Following his discharge he returned to Florida.
Ed married Clara Annette Kimmons on March 17, 1959 in Brewer, Alabama. They made their home in Florida before moving to Rawlins, Wyoming in 1978. Following retirement they enjoyed traveling in their motorhome and staying in different locations. In 2011 they moved to Cheyenne to be near their daughter.
Ed was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed cooking and traveling.
Survivors include his wife Clara of Cheyenne; a son Duane (Dixie) Meredith of Pheonix, Arizona; four daughters, Marshel (Brent) Butterfield of Cheyenne; Deanna (Brian) Wakeling of Sparks, Nevada; Elizabeth (Ross) Bingham of Mesa, Arizona; Edith (Jeff) Cox of Casper two brothers, Luther of Milton, Florida; Wilburn of Mt. Dora, Florida; and three sisters, Eva of Moses Lake, Washington; Mody of Boise, Idaho and Effie of Harper, Texas; 19 grandchldren and 19 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Dully Meredith and four brothers, Charles, Roy, Franklin and Columbus.
Services will be conducted on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel. Bishop Brian Bailey will conduct the service.
