Douglas J. Casner, 59, was called home to Heaven on April 17 after a lengthy illness.
He was born May 21, 1954, to Ernest and Elvira (Horst) Casner. He was a life-long resident of Wyoming, graduated from East High School in 1972 and was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church.
Doug was an aspiring graphic artist and photographer and loved to make beautiful gifts for family and friends. He also loved genealogy and researching family history.
He loved to make people laugh and had a wonderful sense of humor and a good heart.
Doug worked with the Laramie County School District as a bus driver until his health deteriorated and he was no longer able to do so. He became very attached to the children and loved them dearly.
Doug was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Casner Jr.; brother, David; and grandparents, Ernest and Florence Casner and Henry and Martha Horst.
He is survived by his mother, Elvira Casner; brothers, Craig and Kerry (Nancy); sister-in-law, Ann; nephews, Michael (Caitlin), Cody Cousins (Dawn), and Jerry Davis; niece, Haleigh Leasure (Chad), and great-niece and nephew, Brayden and Aubrie.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Our Savior Lutheran Church with Pastor Scheer and Pastor Baikie officiating.

Doug had a tender place in his heart for family and friends and will be missed dearly by all who loved him.
