Dorothy Hester (Davis) Gordon a long-time resident of Cheyenne Wyoming died on Friday April 30th, 2021 at Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne.

Dorothy Hester (Davis) Gordon, 96, was born to the late Henry Clay Davis and Pearl Hester Davis in Nashville, Tennessee on March 7th, 1925. She was immersed in the Episcopalian community which was her lifelong support. She was the oldest member of St. Marks Episcopal Church.

Dorothy married her best friend Lamar Gordon and together they raised two sons Eddie Gordon of Cheyenne, WY and late Patrick Gordon of MN. She moved from Tennessee to Cheyenne Wyoming in 1963. She and Lamar built a house in Sun Valley and lived there for over 50 years. She was blessed with five grandchildren and many great grandchildren who she loved beyond words.

Dorothy was an amazing mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved good faith and socializing. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She brought so much joy to everyone she met and was a most caring and generous woman. She had so much knowledge and wisdom and always made time to help those in need. She had an exuberant personality and a wonderful smile that could light up an entire room. She was loved by everyone who knew her.

Dorothy is preceded in death by husband, Lamar R. Gordon and son, Patrick B. Gordon. Dorothy is survived by her son, Edward L. Gordon; grandchildren Jan P. (Ashley) Gordon, Jeren L. (ChariDee) Gordon of Cheyenne WY, Cole P. Gordon, Kirstin E. Gordon, Kasie L. Nelsen of MN; daughter in law Lori Erekenbrack of Mn; niece Judy Sampson of TN and nephew Rick Amme of NC; numerous great grandchildren, friends, and church members.

Service and interment into the Columbarium of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church Will be Saturday May 15th at 10AM.
