Dorothy Ann Cross

February 21, 1940 — November 13, 2015

Dorothy Ann Cross passed away Friday, November 13th, 2015. Born in Riverton, Nebraska she was one of the gentlest souls to ever live. She loved her husband and family, and would do anything to ensure their happiness. She married the love of her life Alton L. Cross Sr. in 1959. Together they had a life most could only dream of. Dorothy was not just a great wife, but an amazing mom to four children. Alton “Sonny” Cross Jr. with his wife Polly, Teresa Cross, Todd Cross, and Tricia Flores with her husband Greg will go on to honor their mother every day.
If there was anyone Dorothy loved more than her children, it would be her eight grandchildren, or nine great grandchildren. Grams, as her grandchildren fondly called her, was the kind of Grandma where if her grandchildren wanted a cookie before dinner they were going to get that cookie. Despite any of their parents objections.
Dorothy was known for her cooking and loved to feed people, and she was a huge supporter of our nation’s military. In lieu of sending flowers the family requests that donations are made to Cheyenne AIM, an organization that feeds military members who are not with their family for Thanksgiving. Donations can either be made directly to the family or to Meadowbrooke Church.
Awaiting for Dorothy in Heaven were her parents, two sisters, and two granddaughters. Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers in this difficult time.
Dorothy did not want a funeral, and instead wanted everyone to celebrate her life with a get together at the Archer Complex from 12-6 on Saturday November 21st. The Archer Complex can be found on East I80 at exit 370. Please join the family as they gather in memory of Dorothy Cross.
