Dorothy Ellen Wright Carter, 84, of Cheyenne, died on September 19, 2024, in Cheyenne. She was born on October 20, 1939, in Mountain View, WY.
Dorothy was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She loved her Heavenly Father and Savior with all her heart and served them faithfully all her life. She looked forward to returning home to them. She was a sweet friend to everyone blessed to know her. She loved her family with all her heart. She married Robert Leslie Carter in St. George, Utah Temple and were blessed with a happy marriage and 3 wonderful children. She loved being a stay-at-home mother. She liked crocheting and often made things to donate to the needy. In her 60's she decided to go to school to become a massage therapist. She loved helping people feel better spiritually, emotionally and physically and had very loyal clientele. She never said an unkind word or complained about anything.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Marilyn Bellis (Joe), Brenda Roberts (Ron), and David Carter (Erica); 11 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Carter; her father, Roehl Wright and her mother, Vinnie Jensen Wright of Cheyenne; brother Larry J. Wright; sister, Delora Wright Cameron; and a great grandson, Makaili Evans.
Services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Stake Center located at 309 Western Hills Blvd. Cheyenne, on Tuesday September 24, 2024 @ 2:00 pm, viewing will begin at 1:00 pm.
