Doris was born in Douglas, Wyoming where she lived at the family ranch until she graduated from Douglas High School. After graduating her father sent her to Denver to attend business college. She later used her skills in the business profession at the Sears and Roebuck Company in Los Angeles, California where she worked until her retirement. Doris raised her children as a single parent and she worked tirelessly to provide for them.
In 2004 Doris chose to return to her grassroots and moved back to Wyoming where she met her husband Ted whom she was with until his passing in 2021.
Doris was a Breast Cancer survivor of over 22 years. She loved painting, playing keyboards, solving puzzles, listening to music and cooking. Her baked beans and Apple Pies were always a family gathering favorite. She loved the outdoors and most of all visiting with friends and family. Doris added sparkle to any room she entered and she will be missed by everyone who was blessed enough to know her.
Her family would like to thank the staff at the Cheyenne Regional Cancer Infusion Unit who became a big part of Doris’s extended family and the staff at the Davis Hospice Center. Your services and kindness are unmeasurable.
