Donna Marie Dittman

Donna Marie (Hasselkus) Dittman, 91, formerly of Cheyenne, passed away November 14th in Mt. Ayr, Iowa.
She was born in rural Sandusky County, Elmore, Ohio on September 23, 1926 to Willet Lee Hasselkus and Frieda Dorthea Martha (Bergman).
She was a 1944 graduate of Harris-Elmore High School. On October 12, 1946 she married James Lawrence Dittman.
He preceded her in death on July 22, 2011 in Cheyenne.
Donna’s former employers were Multiplex, Gehring Drug Store, John Hovis Grocery Store in Elmore and L.M. Barry Telephone in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
In 1961 the family moved to Milwaukee where her husband attended the Lay Ministry School for two years. From there she followed him to churches in Mt. Ayr, Iowa, Belfield and Grassy Butte, N.D., and Our Saviors in Big Piney, Wright, Midwest and Cheyenne.
She volunteered in school libraries in Grassy Butte, Pinedale and Cheyenne and was very active in their churches.
Donna is survived by her children, Diane (Dale) Conn of Mt. Ayr and William (Carolyn) Dittman of Killdeer, N.D.; grandchildren, Angela (Kevin) Clarke, Tammy (Wilson) McLaughlin, Sandy Enney and Jason Conn; great-grandchildren, Avery Conn, Justin Clarke, Ivy Enney, Ethan Enney, Ashton Air Conn, Isabella McLaughlin, Lacie Clarke and Brooklyn McLaughlin; sisters-in-law, Suzanne Buhro, Coral Hasselkus and Elaine Venable.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Loren and Kenneth Hasselkus and great-grandchild, Rosalyn Clarke.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2nd at Trinity Lutheran Church.
Interment to follow at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
