Funeral Services for DONALD DEAN LOVERCHECK, 83, will be held on Tuesday October 20, 2015 at First United Methodist Church in Cheyenne, WY at 10:30 am with Reverend Richard Gilbert officiating. Dean passed away with his loving family by his side at Davis Hospice on October 15th in Cheyenne. A committal service will be at 3 pm at the LaGrange Cemetery. Dean was born in Torrington, WY on March 20, 1932 to Charles and Norma (Bostwick) Lovercheck. Graduating LaGrange High School, his entire life was spent at the CP Ranch outside of LaGrange, Wyoming. He married Donna Neifert at the Methodist parsonage in Cheyenne on May 23, 1951. He was a long time member of the Moose Lodge #257 in Cheyenne and also a very proud 32nd degree Mason. Dean received the LaGrange Community Service Award in 2011. But Dean found the most pride in the lives of his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, attending numerous athletic events and special ceremonies of various titles. The Special Olympics also held importance for Dean, as he contributed often to this organization.
Dean is survived by his wife of 64 years, Donna Lovercheck; Sons Ron (Sherri) Lovercheck, and Otis (LaNita) Lovercheck, sister; Charlyne (Lyle) McIrvin, four grandchildren; Raedene (Kirk) Messenger, Justin (Brenda) Lovercheck, Tanis (Clint) Lovercheck-Saunders, Keylee Lovercheck, and nine great-grandchildren; Dallas (Chad) Messenger-Jackson, Casey (Ashley) Messenger, Dakota (Tony) Haller, Lanie Messenger, Savannah Messenger, Chase Hunnel, Chase Lovercheck, Kelci Lovercheck, Josh Saunders, Tiana Saunders, and Samantha Saunders. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Norma Lovercheck and a grandson in-law Mark Messenger.
