Donald R. Deffenbaugh was born May 28, 1948 in Nyssa, OR to Roy Lee and Gladys Fern (Gilbert) Deffenbaugh.
He entered into rest February 8, 2018 in Cheyenne after a short battle with cancer.
Donald enjoyed fishing, as long as it wasn’t in Carhartt’s, hunting and shooting pool. He enjoyed shooting on pool leagues in Rawlins, where he called home. He went to state several years and Nationals twice.
He is survived by three children, Dawn Michelle and Brandon Lee, they’re whereabouts are unknown and Shawn Alan Cook (Sarah) of Detroit, MI; siblings, David L. (Carla) Deffenbaugh and Terry N. (DeAnna) Deffenbaugh of Rawlins, Glenda F. Silbaugh of Kimball, NE, Tracy M. Mahaffey of Cheyenne, Delmer D. (Robin) Deffenbaugh and Jerry L. Deffenbaugh of Torrington; sister-in-law, Jackie J. Deffenbaugh of Lincoln, IL; numerous nieces, nephew and one known grandson, Owen J. Cook of Detroit.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Elmer and twin brother, Daniel J. and a nephew, Joseph R. Deffenbaugh.
A memorial service will be held in Cheyenne on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at The Salvation Army Church at 5:00 p.m. With a potluck dinner afterwards.
Services will be held at a later date in Rawlins.
