Don Nath, 81, of Cheyenne, died Dec. 12 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center peacefully with his family by his side. He was born in Cheyenne, WY on April 26, 1935 to Howard and June Nath.
Don lived in Cheyenne his entire life where he met and married the love of his life Ruth on November 28th 1970. Don was employed by WDOT for many years and then later pursued his career in the automotive industry retiring in 1998 from Fassett-Nickel Ford. Don’s passions in life were hotrods, motorcycles, watching NHRA drag racing as well as racing his own pickup. He also enjoyed snowmobiling, boating, watching his grandchildren race motocross and their other sports and activities.
He is survived by daughter, Patty and her husband Sam Runyan and his son, Alex; daughter Pam and her husband Ron Chavez and her daughters Lindsey and Kelsey; son Don and his wife Jenni Nath and his children Angelle and Kameron; son Steven Nath and his sons Dalton and Everett; daughter Lori and her husband Steve Elmstrand and their children Alyssa, Summer and Paige. He also is survived by two great grandchildren, Braxton and Easton, several nieces and nephews as well and numerous lifelong friends.
Don was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ruth, his parents, Howard and June Nath and the grandparents who raised him. Live Commemoration services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel. Cremation has taken place at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
Don, our beloved dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, uncle and friend will be greatly missed by all. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Don's memory c/o Blue Federal Credit Union. The memorials will be given to the many organizations that Don supported.
