Don graduated from Laramie High School in 1955 and joined the Army. He did his basic training in Fort Bragg and served with the 82nd Airborne in Germany. Upon being honorably discharged from the military, he worked for the United States Postal Service and met his wife, Hazel, at a bowling league in Laramie, and married January 20, 1962. After holding various jobs with the state of Wyoming, and the University of Wyoming, Don began his career in construction. He owned Edeen Construction and built quality, custom homes for over 25 years. One of his greatest joys during this time was mentoring other contractors and helping them get their start in the industry. Upon retiring from the construction business, Don and Hazel fulfilled their dream of traveling in an RV from the lower 48 states to the state of Alaska. Don loved to hunt, fish, and go boating, along with camping and enjoying time with his family.
Don will be deeply missed by his family, his friends, and those who knew him. There will be no service, however, a celebration of life will be held with family and close friends.
