Diana M. Lawson, 90, of Hillsdale, died on Monday, September 15, 2014 in Hillsdale.
She was born on December 14, 1923 in Nutley, New Jersey, and came to Cheyenne in 1964 before moving to Hillsdale in 1973.
Mrs. Lawson retired as a private branch exchange operator for AT&T. Family was her life, and she enjoyed making candy and bowling in several leagues thru the Military Wives Association. She was a Christmas enthusiast.
She is survived by two daughters, Jackie Higginbotham of Hillsdale and Lynda Sue Van Dyke (James, Sr.) of Monument, Colorado; brother, Carl Borino of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; a sister, Joyce Grasso of Nutley; five grandchildren, Sharon Van Dyke, Jason Higginbotham, James Van Dyke, Jr., Joci Lawson, and Jaela Cicarelli; and seven great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Lawson was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Lawson, Sr.; two sons, Terry and Raymond “Buster” Lawson ,Jr.; twelve brothers and sisters; and her parents, Anthony and Teresa “Tessie” (Gerino) Borino.
Visitation is from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday and Friday.
Services are Saturday, September 27, 2014, 10:00 a.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
Pallbearers are James Van Dyke, Sr., James Van Dyke, Jr., Clay Van Dyke, Jason Higginbotham, Andy Kmetz, and Justin Higginbotham.
