Diana L. Cook, 67, of Cheyenne passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer at Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne.
She was born September 28, 1947 in Red Cloud, Nebraska and had lived in Cheyenne most of her life.
Diana worked for the State of Wyoming for 38 years through Work Force Services, Workers Compensation, Department of Family Services, and Department of Health. Writing policies and working with members of community throughout Wyoming.
She was avid trap shooter and member of the Municipal Trap Club and the Wyoming Public Employees Association.
Diana enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and was known to always be busy working in her yard.
She is survived by two children, Shannon Cook, and Shawn Cook both of Cheyenne; brother, Larry (Aimee) Elson of Chandler, Arizona; sister, Jacque (Tom) Burns of Riverton, Wyoming; and in-laws, Melissa (Jim) Lieske, Kenneth (Connie) Cook, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Diana was preceded in death by her husband, Michael, whom she married May 3, 1969; parents, Orville and Iris Elson; sister, Sandra Hoffer; brother in law Ron Hoffer; sister-in-law, Constance Johnson.
Services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel with Pastor John Page officiating.
Interment will follow at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
Casket bearers will be Bryan Cook, Jim Lieske, Larry Elson, Jeff Everitt, Scot Schmidt, and Steve Razo.
Honorary bearers will be Laura and Billy Still, Pam Arthun, and Michael Geheb.
