Denny J. "Pat" Parker

Denny “Pat” Parker, 89 of Cheyenne passed away January 23rd, 2017 at the Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
She was born April 18, 1927 in Alba Texas to Frank and Rose Hamm.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She married James B. Parker on August 24, 1946 in Mineola, TX.
She and her husband moved to Dallas, TX in 1946 and the both worked for The Veterans Administration. In 1954 the VA transferred them both to Denver, CO, where she worked as an accountant.
Both of her children Kenneth and Kathy were born while living in Denver. In 1968, they were transferred to Cheyenne, WY. While in Cheyenne they raised their children. She belonged to several organizations and clubs including NRA, National Audubon Society, Chian Singles Good Sams, Shy-o-ming, Tumbleweeds, HPD Motorhome Association, Laramie County Homemakers, American Diabetes Association, State Shooting Association and Wyoming State Museum volunteer.
She was an active member and volunteer for numerous Baptist Churches in the Cheyenne area, most recently a member of Cheyenne Evangelical Free Church.
After retiring, she enjoyed traveling the world with family and friends. Her interests also included traveling in her motorhome in the western part of the country. She was able to drive her motorhome into her late 80’s. Her other interest included bird watching, gardening and was an avid reader.
She is survived by her children Ken (Jessie) Parker, Kathy (Bryan) Wenger, grandchildren, Robert Wenger, Jeb, Kelly, and one great grandchild Charlie. All her immediate family resides in Cheyenne.
A memorial service will be held at Cheyenne Evangelical Free Church, 7006 N. College Drive, Cheyenne, WY 82009, Friday, January 27, 2017, at 2:00 p.m., with a reception to follow at the church.
Cremation has taken place under the care of Wiederspahn Radomsky funeral home.
