Dean Edward Conine

Dean Edward Conine, 89, of Cheyenne, died January 28, 2019 at Life Care Center of Cheyenne. He was born February 5, 1929 in Cheyenne.
Mr. Conine served in the U.S. Marine Corps and Wyoming Air Guard. He was an Elementary Teacher at Rossman and Buffalo Ridge elementary schools in Cheyenne; Elementary Principal at Buffalo Ridge and Bain elementary schools in Cheyenne; Personnel Director at Cedar Rapids, Iowa community schools; Superintendent of schools in Thermopolis, Wyoming from 1971-1973, Superintendent of schools in Lander, Wyoming from 1974-1979, and Assistant Superintendent of Business Laramie County School District #1 from 1979-1992.
He is survived by his wife, Anita, whom he married on February 18, 1951; children, Chris Conine (Jana), Jeff Conine (Pamela), Cari Conine (Lisa Munk), and Steve Conine (Jessica); seven grandchildren, Chandra Martinez (Travis), Seth Conine (Misti), and Josh, Jordan, Carsen, Kaleigh, and Claire Conine; six great-grandchildren, Madison and Sidney Long, Carter Dean Martinez, Annabelle and Quin Conine, and Rourke Conine.
Dean was preceded in death by parents, Walter and Catherine Conine; and brother, Melvin Conine.
Memorial services will be Friday, 10:00 a.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel. Interment of his urn will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.
