David A. Smith

David A. "Aldo" Smith, 65, loving husband and father of three passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 15, surrounded by his family at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. He was born on June 25, 1954 in Cheyenne. David met his beloved wife while stationed in Vicenza, Italy where he honorably served his country as a U.S. Army Paratrooper. David later joined the Cheyenne City Fire Department where he made a life of serving his community and helping others. He was an avid fisherman, woodworker, and gifted craftsman.

David was preceded in death by his wife's parents, Antonio and Rita and his niece, Melissa. He is survived by his wife, Gabriella and their children: Elena, (Dustin), Terri, (Aaron), Christie and granddaughter, Lacie, his sister, Connie, (Jeff) and his nephew and niece, Jacob and Cristan as well as his best friend, Mark, (Billie).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be given to local firefighter sponsored charities.
