David Anton Rohla, 84, of Cheyenne died April 23 in Centennial, Colorado.
He was born January 22, 1930, in Geneva, Nebraska, and had lived in Cheyenne for 35 years until moving to Wheatland 13 years ago.
Dave served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He worked at the F.E. Warren Air Force Base commissary. After retiring from the commissary, he worked at the Wyoming Department of Transportation.
He enjoyed fishing and spending time finding unknown treasures at garage sales. Dave never met a stranger.
He is survived by sisters, Ruth Simmons of Aurora, Nebraska, and Marian Hardy of Peralta, New Mexico; his sons, Dru Rohla of Cheyenne, Dennis Rohla of Wheatland and Daryl Rohla of Cheyenne; daughter, Deanna (Rohla) Owen of Centennial; and six grandchildren, Ryan, Kaley, Demi, Morgan and Douglas, and Kenny.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Diane; his mother and father; one granddaughter; one niece and two brothers-in-law.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Chapel under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
His urn will be buried in Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
