David Charles Davenport, 67, of Cheyenne, died on August 18, 2022 in Cheyenne.
He was born on January 8, 1955 in Southington, Connecticut.
Mr. Davenport retired after 23 years as Master Seargant in the Air Force. After retirement, he was a Safety Manager at Union Pacific Railroad for 14 years. After his long career in the military and Union Pacific railroad, he worked part-time at Capital Lumber.
He was a loyal volunteer for several years at now known as Vitalant Blood Services and was a Former Knights of Pythias member.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Davenport; children, DJ Davenport (Michelle Davenport) and Pauline Stevens (Dave Stevens); grandchildren, Braydon Martinez, Josh Stevens, and Karena Stevens; his sister, Corinne Rescigno (John Rescigno); nieces and nephews; and so many more loved ones.
David was preceded in death by his mother and father, Charles and Blanche Davenport; and his brothers, Chuck and Tim Davenport.
Services and military honors will be Tuesday, 3:00 p.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
