David William Anderson, 95, of Cheyenne, died on April 24, 2024, in Cheyenne.
He was born on May 27, 1928, in Broadwater, Nebraska.
Mr. Anderson was retired from the Wyoming Air National Guard. He was instrumental in getting the city softball program going and the building of Brimmer Softball Park. He loved playing both fast pitch and slow pitch softball. He was a very social person and had many special friends in his life. We always said he never knew a stranger. He gave all the credit for his life to his Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus.
He is survived by his daughter, Debbie Goble (Ed); granddaughter, Kimberly Manalo (Jet); grandson, Eddie Goble (Nicole); five grandchildren, James Velasquez (Zoe), Jeremy Velasquez, Jonas Manalo, Acelynn Goble, and Hoyt Goble, and one great-great- grandson due in September.
Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his wife, Ella Anderson; daughter, Susan Preys; and his parents, Albert and Florence Anderson.
Visitation will be Thursday, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
Private family graveside services will be held.
