Daniel Eugene Allen, 66, of the Table Mountain Community, died on August 29, 2017. He was born on August 3, 1951 in Worland and had lived in this area since 1988. Dan retired as a Park Superintendent from the State of Wyoming after 35 years. He was an avid mountain man and enjoyed tinkering, welding, fabricating things, and was a very creative person. His dream was to drive a semi and his second wife was his Kenworth tractor trailer. Dan was devoted in his belief in Jesus Christ and was a deacon in the Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Malinda (Haaland) Allen, whom he married on August 25, 1972 in Rawlins; a son, Jason Allen of Iowa; two daughters, Tammy Fitch (Jay) of the Table Mountain Community and Christina Allen of Billings, Montana; a brother, Jimmy “Jim” Allen of Meeteetse, Wyoming; nine grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Dan was preceded in death by his sister, Darlene; and his parents, Floyd George “Old Jim” and Della Allen.
Cremation has taken place.
