Dana Hannon, of Cheyenne, passed away on November 9, 2024, in Cheyenne. He was born in Massachusetts on the Fourth of July 1950. He always bragged that he didn’t work or go to school on his birthday when he was younger.
He is survived by his wife, Winne, of 41 years together; sister, Marcia; bother, Mark; nephew, Jeff; niece, Tracy; and numerous stepchildren and their children.
Dana was proceeded in death by his parents; sister, Diane; and nephew, Mark.
He loved camping while searching for any type of gem and treasure. The quest took him to all the contiguous states. Wife in hand, camping in most states along the way.
He served in the Marines for 2 years, switched to Army for 20 years. He was working with the Geodetic Squadron and retired in Cheyenne.
A Celebration of life to be scheduled later.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cheyenne Animal Shelter, Black Dog Rescue or St. Jude’s Hospital
