Dale Allen Ross, 66, of Cheyenne, died suddenly on Friday, October 16, 2015 at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
He was born on August 28, 1949 in Sterling, Kansas and had lived in Cheyenne since 2005.
Mr. Ross retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Technical Sergeant. He also worked at the Wyoming Department of Corrections, Wyoming Tribune Eagle, and Menards. However, his family was his priority. Dale is survived by his wife, Jan Ross, whom he married on February 9, 1980 in Carson City, Nevada; his children, Stacy (Tom) Barrett of Fair Oaks, California, Jason Ross (Sonya) of Marysville, California, Scott Ross (Apryl) of Buffalo, New York, Sara Ross of Sacramento, California, and Wendy Ross and Lucas Ross, both of Cheyenne; his mother, Marge Gilliland of Edgewater, Florida; seven grandchildren, Evan, Amber, Ethan, Micah, Gavin, Shayla, and T.J.; and an uncle, James Oden of Austin, Texas. Dale was very involved in the Cheyenne Post 6 Baseball program and was a loyal supporter of Cheyenne East High School. He loved baseball, camping, reading, and was a lifelong Dodgers and Kansas Jayhawks fan. Dale was an Eagle Scout.
Services will be Friday, 2:00 p.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
Cremation will follow and private family interment of his urn will be in Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
