Cristine (Alvarez) Gillett, 74, of Cheyenne, passed at Davis Hospice Center surrounded by her loving family and friends.
She was born on February 20, 1948 in Ft. Lupton, Colorado to Adolph and Louise Alvarez.
Cris graduated from Burns High School. Soon after she earned a certificate of executive administration from Denver Business College. After many years of service to the State of Wyoming, she retired from the department of Land Management. Cris loved getting together with family and friends for lunch, dinner, birthdays and holidays. She spent her time caring for her mom since the death of her father in 1993. These last few years were lovingly devoted to the care of her beloved husband, Garry.
SHE is survived by her daughter, Cissy Ha and grandchildren from North Carolina; sisters, Jennie (Jim) Rish; Cecilia (Gary) Metzger; Carolyn (John) Dvorak; all of Cheyenne; five nieces; five nephews, several great-nieces and nephews. All of her life-long friends plus many honorary nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Cris was preceded in death by her husband, Garry; father, Adolph Alvarez; Bueno and Alvarez grandparents; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Celebration of Cris' life will be Thursday, June 9 at 10 am at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel
In lieu of flowers, a donation in Cris' name would be appreciated to Davis Hospice Center and/or cancer society
