Connie T. Lyon, 81, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 4th at Life Care Center of Cheyenne.
She was born March 23, 1935 in Wakkanai, Hokkaido, Japan and became a US citizen shortly after her arrival in the United States in 1962.
Connie was a devoted mother of five who volunteered her time and talents to supporting her children's school functions, as well as working as a garment inspector for Alpine Design where she was the only member of the 130% Club. She gave generously of her time as a volunteer for the American Red Cross, the FE Warren Air Force Base medical clinic pharmacy, the Cheyenne Veterans Administration, and the Wyoming Wildlife Federation.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, her dogs Travis and Brittany, cooking, music, gardening, watching the Colorado Avalanche and Denver Broncos, and following current events and politics.
Connie is survived by her four children, Mike Lyon and Dave Lyon, both of Virginia, Kim Lyon, and Dan Lyon of Cheyenne; three grandchildren and two sisters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lyon; daughter, Lana Farrester; parents, and three siblings.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may go to the Cheyenne Animal Shelter or Life Care Center of Cheyenne.
