Colby Moore Ward, 29, of Hillsdale, died peacefully on May 30th at his parents home in Hillsdale.
He was born on September 3, 1994 in Cheyenne.
Colby was part owner/operator for Ward Agribusiness where he worked side by side with his father and grandfather on the family farm. He was an avid fly fisherman and hunter. Colby loved spending time outdoors, even if it was just tending to the trees in his yard. He spent many hours tying flies and reading western history , and of course his Bible. Colby and family attended Cheyenne Hills Church regularly. Colby was an assistant football coach in Burns up until his diagnosis in 2019. He loved the Denver Broncos and the Colorado Avalanche . Colby was an all-around sports guy.
He is survived by his wife, Cassidy; son, Noah; parents, Tim and Lisa Ward; sister and brother-in-law, Alex and Clark VanHoosier; his niece, Charlie VanHoosier; his nephew, Lander VanHoosier; his grandparents, Dale and Linda Ward, Linda Swanson and Jim and Georgia Moore; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Colby was preceded in death by his uncle, Mark Moore
Services will be Wednesday, 2:00 p.m., at Cheyenne Hills Church, followed by a reception at 4:00 p.m., at the Cheyenne Frontier Days Event Center.
