Clorinda E Romero passed away on April 7, 2020 at the age of 84, due to a heartbreaking, fast progressing battle with Dementia/Alzheimer’s. She was born on June 28, 1935, in La Cueva , New Mexico. She was born to Teofilo and Conferina Gonzales. Out of high school she married Pedro Romero Jr. and traveled with him while he was in the Air Force. After Barbara, Anita and Stephin were born Pete retired from the Air Force and they then moved to Lamar Colo and made their home. There Loretta and Sandra were born. She lived a wonderful, fulfilling life in Lamar until they both retired and moved to Cheyenne WY. Clorinda was a kindergarten teacher aid for 33 years in Lamar and this was always one of her biggest joys in life. She loved those children as much as they loved her. The joy of being with children all those years made her heart so happy. She loved her family with everything she had, she would do anything for any of them, and she simply adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Clorinda was a faithful follower and humble servant to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She spread the word everywhere she went and wanted to save all souls. She is deeply missed, but she is flying high with all our angels that have left us.
Clorinda is preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister Maria (Lila) Maestas , granddaughter Cordell Dennis, and daughter Anita Romero.
Clorinda is survived by her children, Barbara (Jim) Campbell of Wiley, Colo, Loretta Romero of Cheyenne WY, Sandra Salinas of Cheyenne, WY, Sandy Rudolph (daughter in-law) of Fort Morgan, Colo, Stephin Romero of Fort Morgan, Colo, sisters Cecelia Baker, Juanita Jacoby, Connie (Sylvester) Penaflor, Cathy (Joe) Lovato all of Cheyenne, 8 grandchildren, 11 greatgrandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Church of the Holy Trinity, 1808 Hot Springs Ave, Cheyenne WY on Friday August 7, 2020 at 10:00 am, under the direction of Father Tom Cronkleton. Masks are required and social distancing will be practiced. An interment will take place at Olivet Cemetery in Cheyenne.
