Clinton M. Brown, 85, of Torrington Wyoming, passed away peacefully in his sleep, at home, of heart failure, on August 27, 2016, with his loving family in attendance.
Clint was born December 28, 1930, in Mankato, MN, to his parents, Irwin and Vernella Brown.
Clinton was an art teacher for 31 years, the final 21 years, in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He took early retirement and pursued three of his life-long passions; flight, hunting, and creating art. Captain Clinton Brown served as a pilot in the Civil Air Patrol, Search and Rescue division, in their varied endeavors throughout the state of Wyoming. His hunting adventures spanned from large game in Africa and the United States down to wild game bird hunting in the Platte River Valley, and this led him to his final residence in Torrington, WY. His art work and unique pieces of jewelry reflected his love of nature and the great outdoors and are enjoyed by patrons throughout the United States. Clint was a life time member of the NRA and a great patriot of his beloved country.
He is survived by his wife, Jean of 42 years; son, Kenneth Brown and grandson Shane Brown, both of Torrington, Wyoming; his furry son and faithful hunting companion, Brace, and his brother Bud Brown of Outing, MN. He is also survived by his step-children: Michael Lane (Cheryl) of Florence, AL, Chris Simmons (Roger) of Loveland, CO, Scott Lane (Lauri) of Elizabeth, CO, Ann Townsend (David) of Denver, CO, and Chuck Lane (Judy) of Cheyenne, WY; sister-in-law and her spouse, Dr. Charles and Georgie Evans of Hastings, NE, seventeen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.
Cremation has taken place; memorial service and memorial contributions to be announced at a later date.
