Clark Drew Norton was born May 21, 1953, in Pocatello, Idaho to parents Joyce Derlene Drew and Clifford William Norton. He married Ellen “Dusty” Dyal on January 4, 1974. They were later sealed in the Los Angeles California Temple for time and all eternity on July 31, 1979. He passed away peacefully on June 27, 2022. His wife Ellen “Dusty” Norton and daughter Cara Norton Russell were with him in his final moments.
When Clark was 17 he was in an accident that left him unable to walk for the rest of his life but he never let that fact define him. In his 69 years he touched many lives and inspired many people. He was a jeweler and a philanthropist. He loved fishing, boating, driving, and was the first paraplegic in Wyoming to earn his pilot's license. He was a father, a grandfather, an uncle, and a loving husband. He loved God and his country and enjoyed debating both with anyone who would listen. He was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where he enjoyed serving in many capacities, his favorite being Elder’s Quorum President
He was a strong man who held firm to what he believed was right and good. He was always willing to help anyone who asked, even if he grumbled about it sometimes. His capacity for love was immeasurable and it’s that legacy that he wished to leave behind for his family.
He was preceded in death by his mother Joyce Derlene (Drew) Norton Wallace; his father Clifford William Norton; and his sister Mary LaVon Wallace. He is survived by his wife Ellen (Dyal) Norton; daughter Cara (Norton) Russell (Michael); a granddaughter Arya Drew Russell; brothers Clifford Barry Norton Keller (Lisa), Rip William Norton Wallace (Patty), Jared Lee Wallace (Tammy); and sisters Jeanne Marie (Norton) Benson (Jon), Joanne Derlene (Norton) Bingham (Ken), and Loretta Joyce (Wallace) Sconyers (Lanny) as well as many nieces and nephews. He leaves behind his good friend and buddy, Anna (his little dog).
