Christopher Joseph Leary, 31, of Cheyenne, died on Saturday, March 12, 2016 in Colorado from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
He was born on September 16, 1984 in Wichita, Kansas and had lived here since 1992.
Chris had worked at Rocky Mountain Restoration, the Laramie County Conservation District, and attended Cheyenne Hills Church.
He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to make others laugh. He had a thirst for knowledge and enjoyed reading, computers, chemistry and botany. Chris was a very talented artist and enjoyed drawing, painting, working with his hands and building models. He also loved listening to many types of music and had a special appreciation for classical piano.
He is survived by his proud parents, Daniel and Donna Leary; two sisters, Danielle Lovato (David) and Katelyn Tenorio (Ricky); grandparents, Janet Jordan (Bud) and Jerald Leary (Betty); his nieces and nephews whom he adored, Maile and Tatum Lovato, Taven Tenorio, and a nephew on the way, Cash Tenorio; aunts, Terry Sluzewski (Dale), Jamie Bruce (Joe), and Gwynne Calvin; his girlfriend, Brittany Null; and many cousins and friends.
Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alice and Samuel Metoyer, and Fred Runyon; and an uncle, Richard Leary.
Celebration of life services will be March 25, 11:00am, at Cheyenne Hills Church.
The family realized how important organ donation was to Christopher and he was blessed to give the gift of life as a donor. They encourage everyone to become donors.
