Charlotte Martinez passed away peacefully in her home on January 19, 2025, after a long battle with Multiple System Atrophy.
She was born on July 25, 1950, in Springer, New Mexico, to Rumaldo and Pablita Sandoval. Her family moved to Cheyenne, WY when she was a year old. Charlotte was the second to the youngest of 8 siblings.
Charlotte is survived by her loving, and devoted husband of 55 years, Rudy C. Martinez. She is also survived by her children, Lorri Garibay, and Paul & Jodie Martinez; grandchildren, Gabriel, Marcos, and Jesse Garibay, Savannah, Layla and Isaac Martinez, Vincent and Anthony Garcia; great-grandchildren, Aiden Salinas-Martinez, Davina Martinez, Tyler Garcia and Messiah Davis; sisters, Melva Padilla, and Mary Lovato, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she loved dearly.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Rumaldo and Pablita Sandoval; brothers, Lee and Danny Sandoval; sisters, Alice Valdez, Georgia Vigil, and Margo Sandoval-Vialpando, and her beloved grandson, Paul J. Martinez.
Services are under the direction of Weiderspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes. The Vigil for the Deceased will be Monday, at 6:00 p.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Her Funeral Liturgy will be Tuesday, at 10:30 a.m., also at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with a reception to follow at The Knights of Columbus.
