Charles William Moore, 86, of Cheyenne, Wyoming passed away on Monday, July 22, 2019 surrounded by his loving family; best friend, Father John Murray, and his loving doctor, Dr A.J. Meares.
He was born on March 25, 1933 in Fairmont, Nebraska to Robert Faye Moore and Edna Pauline (Tibbetts) Moore. He moved with his mother and two sisters to Cheyenne, Wyoming in 1935, after his father died, to be near family. He attended public schools in Cheyenne and graduated from Cheyenne High School in 1951.
Charles (aka “C.W.”, Chuck or Bill) served in the Army and worked as an insurance salesman and a bus driver for Greyhound Bus Lines and the Laramie County School District #1.
Charles met his beautiful wife, Norma Lee Marrs, in April 1959 when she purchased a medical insurance policy from him. They were married May 21, 1960 at the First Congregational Church in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
To this union, four children were born: Robert (Kitty) Moore of Loveland, Colorado; Michael (Shirley) Moore of Cheyenne, Wyoming; Mark Moore of Green River, Wyoming and Tracy (Chad) Federer of Cheyenne, Wyoming.
He is survived by his children, eight grandchildren: Colby Moore, Halee Moore, Travis Moore, Troy Moore, Katie Moore, Becca Moore, Reece Federer and Kaden Federer and three brother-in-laws: Robert Rucker; Graig (Nola) Marrs and Dean (Donella) Marrs.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Norma, and his two sisters, Jean Rucker and Betty Taylor, and his brother, Robert.
Services will be held at Cheyenne Evangelical Church on Monday, July 29, 2019 at noon.
