Charles (Charlie) Ples Kerr Jr, 75, of Cheyenne, passed away peacefully at the Davis Hospice Center on August 29th, 2022. Charles was born on August 9th, 1947, in Greeley, Colorado to Charles Ples Kerr Sr. and Stella (Wadsworth) Kerr.
Charles joined the Navy shortly after graduating from Highland High School in Ault, Colorado. He served one tour of duty in Vietnam and was very proud but reserved about his time there. Charles farmed and also was a Police Officer in Lakewood, Colorado and a Corrections Officer in Metlakatla and Juneau, Alaska. Charles loved to hunt (just about anything that walked or flew) and was an avid fisherman. Charles never met a stranger just the next potential friend that would play cribbage or horseshoes, go fishing or just share a drink.
Charles is survived by Son, Mike (Michelle) Kerr of Windsor, Colorado, Sister Vicky Jo (Dave) Hunteman of Pierce, Colorado, One Niece Johanna Hunteman of Pierce, Colorado, One Nephew, Matt (Heather) Hunteman of Colorado Springs, Colorado and 2 Grandchildren, William and Sydney Kerr. Charles was preceded in death by, his Parents Ples and Stella Kerr, Sister, Sonja Kerr and Uncle, William Frank Kerr.
No Funeral Services will be performed at Charles’ Request.
