Charles W. Garcia, 83, of Cheyenne, died February 9th at Davis Hospice with his loving wife by his side.
He was born April 23, 1935 in Ledoux, New Mexico to Carlos and Carmen Garcia.
Charlie retired from the State of Wyoming. He loved hunting, going for drives and listening to Spanish music, as well as going to the dog track or the casino.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ernestine; children, Franklin “Gar” Garces of Dallas, Texas, Charlene Padilla (Max) of Ft. Collins, Colorado, and Carmen Candelaria (Ron Nelson) of Lander, Wyoming; grandchildren, Maxx Padilla, Kristopher Candelaria (Jacki), Nicole Padilla-Louallen (Robert) and Jamie Mejia; great grandchildren, Jaden Dolan, Andrew and Anthony Mejia, Chance Louallen; and a sister, Pauline Pando of Cheyenne.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark Garcia, grandson, John Candelaria and ten brothers and sisters.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral Liturgy will be March 8, 10:00 a.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel. Honorary urn bearers will be Gar Garces, Ben Martinez, Ray Garcia, Max Padilla, Ron Nelson and Robert Louallen.
A special thank you to Ray and Dee Dee Garcia for their devoted love, time and compassion. He fought a long, hard battle with Parkinson’s. Charlie was loved very much by his family and will be sadly missed by all.
