Charles Aaron Bullock, 91, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, died Friday, August 26, 2016 at Granite Rehab Center in Cheyenne. He was born July 31, 1925 in Nodaway, Missouri to Henry and Katie Bullock.
On June 22, 1952, Aaron married Rovana Johnson in Nodaway, which began their life of 51 years together until her death, October 24, 2003.
Aaron farmed many years of his early life in Missouri and also worked for General Motors in Kansas City, Kansas. In 1974, they moved to Wheatland, Wyoming. After a few years of working on a farm there, he and Rovana moved to Mooreland, Oklahoma in 1977, where he worked for the Woodward County Road and Bridge Department as a heavy equipment operator. He retired in 1990. After retirement, Aaron and Rovana spent their summers growing a large garden in Mooreland, where they were known for their tomatoes and other vegetables they sold at the Woodward's farmer's market. They spent several winters in either Arizona or south Texas.
After Rovana's death Aaron sold his home in Oklahoma and moved to live with his son, Duane in Bertram, Texas. He continued to grow a garden there and sold his produce at the farmer's market in Bertram. In April, 2016 he moved to Cheyenne to live with his son Phil due to his deteriorating health.
Aaron was an active member of the Church of Christ in Mooreland and in Bertram. He was loved and appreciated for his quiet and humble spirit.
Aaron is survived by two sons and one daughter, Phil (Ruth) Bullock of Cheyenne, Duane (Melanie) Bullock of Bertram, and Gayle (Jeff) Fuhrman of Berthoud, Colorado; one brother, Joe Bullock of Nodaway; eight grandchildren, Philip (Andrea) Bullock of Sammamish, Washington, Teri (Jason) Armes of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Jeri (Craig) Ford of Billings, Montana, Jennifer (Bryan) Hill of Cheyenne, Scott Bullock of Weatherford, Texas, Krystal Baker of Midland, Texas, Jonathan Fuhrman of Loveland, Colorado and Brittany (Steve) Fuleki of Loveland and 12 great-grandchildren.
Aaron was preceded in death by his wife; one son, Michael Kevin Bullock; his parents; and four brothers, Willis Bullock, Frank Bullock, Richard Bullock and John Bullock.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 2, 2016 at Billings Funeral Home, Woodward, Oklahoma, with Galen Coffin officiating. Interment will be in the Mooreland Cemetery.
