Chance Michael Seivley, 20, of Cheyenne, died on September 3, 2019.
He was born on December 7, 1998 in Delta, Colorado.
Chance graduated from Cheyenne East High School in 2017 and was a member of St. Mary’s Cathedral.
Chance will be remembered as a kindhearted soul who loved to teach and mentor younger 4-H members. Whether it was through 4-H camp, the State leadership team, in the poultry barn, or on the shotgun line, Chance always took to the time to make a connection with those around him. His infectious smile, silliness, and good humor lit up the room when he walked in. Never without his standard baseball cap or sunglasses, Chance was easy to spot. Often Chance could be seen enveloped in a group of young people, sharing his thoughts. As Chance got older, he travelled with 4-H. It was a chance for him to spread his wings and experience the larger 4-H world. Through Chance’s travels he made some great friends and learned about the heart of 4-H.
He is survived by his parents, Cindy and Mark Seivley; his sister, Isabelle Seivley; grandparents, Deanna and Linus Leppink, and Kathy and Eldon Seivley; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Chance was preceded in death by his uncle, Linus Leppink; and a cousin, Chloe Orwig.
Vigil for the deceased will be Thursday, 6:30 p.m., at St. Mary’s Cathedral.
Funeral Liturgy will be Friday, 10:00 a.m, at St. Mary’s Cathedral.
