Carrie “Care Bear” Carns, 54, of Cheyenne died April 18th at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center after valiantly fighting a five year battle with Myelodysplastic Syndrome.
She was born March 8, 1962 in Cheyenne.
Carrie was an avid Wyoming Cowboys, Broncos, and Rockies fan and was known for her pool playing skills. She enjoyed music and playing her saxophone as well as Cheyenne Frontier Days and her job as a nursing assistant. She touched many lives and was a very giving person.
She is survived by her mother, Judy (Harry) Williams of Wheatland; step-siblings, Mike, Dan, Julie, Cathy, Scott, and Marne; aunt, Jean (Clyde) Condie of Evanston; uncle, Rocky (Julie) Carns of Highlands Ranch, Colorado and Jane Williams of Littleton, Colorado and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth W. Carns.
Timeless Memories services will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flower, memorials may be given to the CRMC Cancer Center.
