Carolyn L. Hert, 81, of Cheyenne, passed away on January 18, 2022 in Cheyenne.
She was born on July 19, 1940 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Carolyn was a very proud member of the Society of Mayflower Descendants in the State of Wyoming and The Daughters of The American Revolution. She was a talented artist. She loved to sew and won purple ribbons at the fair for various projects she entered. Carolyn volunteered her time and talent to sew baby bunting outfits and donated them to different organizations for newborns.
She is survived by her children, Kim Cisler (Larry), Kay Hert, Ken Hert (Tamsen) and Kip Hert; her brothers, Douglas Hathaway and David Hathaway; her sister-in-law, Pearl Schanaman; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Howard J. Hert; infant son, Perry Wayne Hert; and her parents, Richard and Helen Hathaway.
She retired after 20 years as Administrative Assistant at the Bureau of Land Management. While there, she was thrilled by the wild horse roundups and the Wyoming discovery of the dinosaur fondly known as "Big Al". Upon retirement, she had the time to be mom to 2 little fur-babies, Sugar and Cookie.
Graveside services will be Friday, 3:00 p.m., at the Rugged Cross Chapel in Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
