Carl A. Voigtsberger was born February 6, 1939 to David and Catherine Voigtsberger in Philadelphia. He graduated from Roman Catholic High School in 1957 and then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force working on the B47E aircraft at Dyuss Air Force Base. Through the Air Force Commissioning program, Carl received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wyoming and was commissioned in 1964.
He was stationed at Clark AFB shuttling in and out of Tan Son Nhut AB, Vietnam. In 1968, he served as Senior Navigator on the C130E at Langley AFB. His last assignment was as the Commander of the 90th Civil Engineer Squadron at Francis E. Warren AFB before he retired in 1977. As a civilian, he took position with the State of Wyoming Public Service Commission as a pipeline engineer and retired in 1994.
Carl spent many years as a troop leader for boy scouts and took great pride in sharing the Wyoming wilderness and his outdoor skills with the troops. He was an avid world-traveler enjoying each different culture and all the world had to offer. He was a patriot through and through; we would be remiss to not mention his ongoing support of Dr. Taylor Haynes, his dedication to President Trump, his love for his family and his love of history and languages.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joan, his parents, and five siblings. He is survived by his wife Maianna, two sons; Gary and Carl, two daughters; Catherine and Joan, grandchildren; McKensie, Joanna, Carlee, Jonathan, Chad, and Emily, and his siblings David and Christine.
Services will be held June 14th at 2:00pm at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes in Cheyenne with reception immediately following at the Red Lion.
