Caper June Ross, 78, of Cheyenne passed away July 25, 2019 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
Caper was born October 17, 1940, in Shady Dale, Georgia. He served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1966 and was stationed at Fort, Chaffee, Arkansas. He also served in the National Guard of Wyoming. After his service, he began his career as a crane operator for Reiman Corporation where he worked for 36 years. He retired from Reiman in 2002.
Caper is survived by his wife, Lyn Joyce Ross of Cheyenne; his son Caper (Jay) Ross of Ft. Collins; his daughters Darlene Miller of Denver and Kimbra Lynn Summers of Cheyenne; two grandchildren, Isaiah Jaiden Ross and Zachary Taylor McCord both of Cheyenne; two brothers, Jeff and Willie; and his sister Mary Elizabeth (Hazel) Thomas of Cheyenne. He was preceded in death by his parents, Noah and Lizzie Ross.
The Ross family would also like to recognize Caper’s extended family consisting of the Thomas, the Boatner, the Slaughter, the Reachel, and the Maxey families. The Ross family would like to send a heart-felt thank you to the many friends and neighbors who have been so helpful in so many ways for so many years with a special thank you to Adolf, Bonnie, Anthony and Jeanie Anne; Joe and Violet; and John, Deb, and Samantha.
Viewing services will be held on July 29, and funeral services will be held on July 30, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. both at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel. Thereafter, he will be cremated.
