Brett Wayne Martin

January 30, 1954 — March 15, 2021

On Monday, March 15, 2021, Brett Martin passed away at the age of 67 from cancer. He was born in Pasadena, California to Jerry B. Martin and Irene Esther (Daw) Reynolds. He served in the Army for 8 years. He received his law degree from Syracuse University and was licensed to practice law in New York and Colorado.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 22 years, Dorothy Conn Martin, his children: Michael Martin, Joshua Martin, Adam Martin, and Cassandra Martin, his stepson, Jake Morse, and his stepdaughters in spirit, Crystal Henry and Fran Manning. He is survived by his brothers, Todd Martin, Scott Martin, Jerry Martin, his sisters Michelle Martin and Kathleen Reynolds, his grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Brett and Dorothy had recently moved to Wyoming after many years in Colorado.

He was preceded in death by his mother Irene. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 15th, 2021 at the Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel, Cheyenne WY.

Brett was passionate about father’s rights and spent most of his career trying to earn equal rights for fathers. Much of his childhood was lived in Europe and South America and that created his love for travel. He loved pets and adopted many strays over his lifetime.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at the UC Health Oncology Center and the Cheyenne Regional Medical Hospital for their care and compassion.
