Bobby O. Lunsford, 64, of Cheyenne, died Monday, November 24, 2014 at the VA Medical Center in Cheyenne.
He was born June 24, 1950 in Crestview, Florida, to Billy Joe and Frances (Skiba) Lunsford. Bobby served in the U. S. Air Force. He was employed as a Respiratory Therapist with the VA Hospital.
Bob moved to Cheyenne in 1986 from Delta, Colorado. He was very active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he had many, many callings, serving in various capacities. He was active in Boy Scouts, H.A.M. Radio and volunteered as the medical personal for the “Ride for Life”.
Bob married his eternal companion Patricia A. “Patty” Smith on November 11, 1982 at the Jordan River Temple in Utah.
Survivors include his wife Patty of Cheyenne; mother, Frances Cray of Massachusetts; two sons, Ken (Denise) Rouse of Colorado; Steven (Sariah) Lunsford of Virginia; a daughter, Gina Lunsford of Cheyenne; five grandchildren, Matthew, Elizabeth, Benjamin, Anna and Olivia.
He was preceded in death by his son, Bryan Lunsford and his father, Billy Joe Lunsford.
Funeral Services will be held today, Wednesday, November 26th at 11:30 a.m. the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, east Lincolnway Chapel. Interment will follow at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to “No Vet Dies Alone”.
