Beverly Jo Oslund, 81 of Cheyenne, Wyoming passed away Thursday, in Loveland, Colorado, with her family at her side.
Beverly was born November 10, 1934 in Taylor, Texas, to Helen & Walter Cervin. After graduating in 1952 from South High School in Denver, Colorado, she attended Colorado A&M College (now CSU) where she met her loving husband, Glen Oslund. Beverly and Glen were married in Dallas, Texas, on February 5, 1955. After living in San Francisco and Denver, they moved to Cheyenne in 1957. Beverly was a loving wife and devoted mother to their two children, Lynnda and Robert, both adopted through the Wyoming Children's Society.
Beverly served many years as the first and only woman bailiff for the Wyoming Supreme Court, and as a bailiff for the Wyoming District Court. She was a past president of the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary; a member of P.E.O., Chapter C; and a board member for the Wyoming Children’s Society.
Beverly is survived by her husband, Glen Oslund, Cheyenne, WY; daughter, Lynnda Oslund Burnison (Phil), Laramie, WY; son, Robert Oslund (Charlotte), Gaithersburg, MD; brother, Richard Cervin (Cherrie), Mineola, TX; granddaughter, Ashlee Marie Oslund, Fort Collins, CO; step-grandchildren, Nathaniel Burnison, Gretna, NE, Alexander and Emily Mueller, Gaithersburg, MD, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be Friday, 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
Private family interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
Services will be Monday, 1:00 p.m., at First Presbyterian Church.
Beverly wished to express her love and deepest gratitude to her family and friends. She requested memorial donations be made to the Wyoming Children’s Society at 314 E. 21st St, Cheyenne, Wyoming 82001, or to the First Presbyterian Church at 220 W 22nd St, Cheyenne, Wyoming 82001.
