Beverly A. Hughes, 80, of Cheyenne, WY, passed away on October 23, 2018 at the Life Care Center in Cheyenne. She was born September 14, 1938 in Conrad, MT, to Carl and Gertrude Orr. She grew up and graduated high school in Valier, MT. Beverly enlisted in the United State Air Force in 1956. She married her devoted husband, Glenn, on October 15, 1957 at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. After her honorable discharge, she accompanied Glenn on numerous assignments to different locations in United States and Europe. Beverly spent many hours volunteering with several NCO Wives Clubs, Family Services, and other events. In addition, she assisted Glenn with various programs supporting enlisted personnel at their bases of assignment. After Glenn’s retirement, they settled in Cheyenne, traveling to many locations visiting children and family, and doting on grandchildren as well. Beverly also volunteered for various community activities and religious events. She also worked at Sweetbriar’s Women’s Clothing Store, and at Target, both in Cheyenne. Survivors include her husband, Glenn, children, Sharon (Terry) Johnson, Glenna (Richard) Celey, Robin (Ronald) Bates, and Michael Hughes, as well as 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Donald and Ralph Orr, a sister, Helen Gould and her husband, Richard Gould.
