Betty Jane Sullivan

April 21, 1931 — December 18, 2019

Betty Jane Sullivan was born April 21, 1931 to Elmer and Roxie Castleberry in Baldwin, Mississippi. Betty was the youngest of 6 children, born with her twin brother Billy Wayne, and sister to Paul Milton, Marion Kelly, Hollis Richard and Marvin Hubert. She grew up and graduated from Baldwin high school. She attended secretarial school in Memphis, Tennessee, rooming with Mary Jean “Polly” Sullivan, of Pontotoc, Mississippi. While in school and after WWII ended, Polly introduced Betty to her brother, Waymon Earl Sullivan and they were married June 18, 1950 in Baldwin. They settled in Tupelo, Mississippi where they started their family. Betty was a devoted wife and mother, kind and gentle...a very soft, quiet soul. She and Waymon had four children, Robert, Kirk and Mary Beth. Also, a daughter, Lisa, who died at birth. Betty and Waymon moved to Cheyenne in 1961 where they raised their family and operated Sullivan Auto Upholstery until their retirement in the late 1990’s. She enjoyed traveling, camping and all of her children’s and grandchildren’s activities. Betty was a devoted Christian in the Baptist faith.
Betty is survived by her children Robert and his wife Mariellen, their children, Jennifer & Greg Seitz of Cheyenne, and Robert Scott & Jesse Sullivan of Ft. Collins, Co, along with Kirk and Deann Sullivan of Woodland Hills, California, and their sons Thomas and Sean Sullivan, and her daughter Mary Beth Smith and her husband John , and her daughter Miranda Hill and husband, Chris, of Torrington, WY., and Six great-grandchildren, Jackson Sullivan, Raleigh Sullivan, Flynn Sullivan, and Vesper Seitz, Sloan Seitz, and Payne Seitz.
Services are 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Wiederspahn-Radomsky. A private family reception will follow.
